Primary Exploration

Our explorers analyze situations in their environment with reflective awareness in order to determine their position, seeking to communicate assertively with other members of their community by making effective use of language.

At this stage the students:

♣︎ They interact with the world and understand it through logic establishing relationships between objects and concepts, thus creating connections and finding answers based on knowledge, awareness and empathy in their relationship with others.

♣︎ The student is able to recognize in change an opportunity to improve and obtain better results from the identification and validation of their own skills as part of the awareness of learning, from their experience.

♣︎ To this extent evidences the understanding of the processes of transformation of the surrounding environment and reflects on the need for change, giving value to the thoughts and feelings of oneself and others.

Our home learning plan favors the development of skills and competencies through the ABP methodology (Project Based Learning). This experience allows children to transform their way of learning through the exploration of their environment and the use of various resources, tools and digital platforms.

Our classroom experience path leads the children of the Exploration Stage to strengthen learning through diverse and innovative teaching methodologies, modern infrastructure and a focus on the formation of the personal being to transcend, self-actualize and face the challenges of the future with different skills and competencies.

EDUCATIONAL STRATEGY

We accompany our students in processes of research and exploration of contexts to answer questions, solve problems or create products, following a path of scientific thinking and training them in their autonomy and creativity.

Bilingual Program

We present a bilingual communicative approach based on real context situations for our students to develop the four language skills: speaking, writing, reading and comprehension.

Collaborative learning

We open to our students the possibility of generating collective processes of knowledge construction, favoring learning based on collaborative learning strategies, to develop communication and interaction skills, as well as to create learning communities.

Project Based Learning (PBL)

Our students actively work, plan, implement and evaluate interdisciplinary projects that have real-world application. The project is not only focused on learning about something, but on learning through action that allows you to solve a problem in practice in the immediate, local, regional or global environment.

Construction of learning

We guide our students to build and manage their own learning through monitoring, evaluation and feedback.

Autonomy

We encourage the development of autonomy so that our students define their goals, make the best decisions and self-evaluate through reflection and metacognition processes.

The Exploration stage for IS Colombia is between 7 and 10 years of age, beginning in grade 2 and ending in grade 5.

Individual Learning (Solo Learning)
In the rest of the time, our students complement their learning autonomously through various resources, tools and digital platforms, which allow them to manage their knowledge and progress in their learning at their own pace.

Homeschool experience pathway, with synchronous meetings and asynchronous activities.

Access to our innovative and interactive BrightSpace learning platform, which ensures our children's learning.

Intensive English: 2 hrs per week currently.

Schedule: Our children will have 1 to 3 synchronous meetings per day from 7am to 4:30pm.

We do not have a fixed schedule, but you do have access to a weekly calendar where you can view your child's schedule.

24-hour access to the BrightSpace platform for asynchronous content.

You will have access to Lexia, Epic and Kinedu platforms.

Your child should schedule 2 hours per day for asynchronous work.
